It’s the Last Monday of the First Month of 2020. Truly Pilates everyday is a good idea, the perfect medicine for what heals us all but in truth, it is not always practical…or possible. Admittedly, teachers probably do more of a “little something” than most by simply teaching, spotting and helping others to engage and move. Yet, concentrated focus on ourselves for 60-90 minutes still requires commitment and discipline. Our “business stuff” “life stuff” “family stuff” gets in the way and we skimp on the details. #JustSayin’
My intent in manifesting #Pilates2020 in my practice was not a resolution of sorts, more like a mantra, a new habit I want to keep, a commitment of the things I want to continue doing throughout the year. There are a couple unfolding nicely at this writing that I am proud to say with the new 1X Monthly additions I have crafted for the coming year (see below) now I have truly added a #MondayMorningMantra as the “new pill” to my fitness regimen and Pilates Practice.
I guess you could say, I am taking a “dose of my own medicine.” Afterall, as a #PilatesOver60 squad member, a programmatic approach to staying strong, upright and lifted is appropriate. It’s necessary. It is essential. #JustSayin’

The “new pill addition” that I am planning regularly 1x week is #MondayMorningReformer
I decided to get up early Monday morning, the second week of the month and before my first standing client. She comes at 9:30am, which means I start at 8am to complete my own session hour. The camera will not always be used to document what’s happening, but then again, it might!?!
I am not teaching. I am just working it out.
Today, the last Monday of the month and I can say I have taken the pill for three consecutive weeks and enjoyed the early morning ride. Immensely in fact.
There was no way I could miss today, especially. I dragged myself out of bed with the sorrowful feeling most of us had this weekend with the tragic news of Kobe Bryant his daughter, Gigi and the other families lost in the crash.
I started slow, worked slow and moved methodically thru the end of the release. Everyday will not be the same. Yet, every Monday Morning I will reform myself.
