Maria Earle definitely set the stage for 2021 with a MasterClass session on the Wunda.  Not only with the work she led the group through but with the sellout of the series in short order and the need to add more slots for more teachers.  Then the February session with Alycea Ungaro sold out days afterwards, April 2021 with Brooke Siler sold out before the snowstorm walloped TX, May 2021 with Christina Gadar is 60% filled and June thru October were confirmed with three more #FavoriteTeachers that already have their rosters filling up.

Six-Nine Months with a Few Masters

The purpose and intention of a blog is to write to explore thoughts and experiences and share it with the world. I have been remiss on the writing and thought exploration part, as I got caught up in the process of living the experience with so many of my #PilatesSisters over the past year. Very grateful to have so many gleefully join to laugh, sweat and share the movement and freedom we love virtually together.Read more

MasterClass Workouts

Yes, it's been quite a long minute. A really long one.  So I was thinking we could, should, would pick it up where we left off at the first of the year, before the nightmare fell upon us.  It's been a minute or more and a new day is upon us. Blossom, Kathy, Chris, and George

Blossom announced it was KSG week and shared memories, exercises, videos and virtual sessions all week in honor of her teacher/mentor, Kathy Stanford Grant.  I booked two early afternoon sessions, on Monday and Wednesday with her; Chris Robinson was already booked on my calendar for Friday on the Reformer. The shit hit the fan on Wednesday.Read more

Morning Thoughts After a Day with Brooke and Saul

I felt like a little kid in a candy shop with so much excitement after booking these two sessions on the same day with two notable 2ndGenMasters in two different time zones.

My body and mind know the repertoire, yet it's the subtle nuances of each Master professor that makes the difference. As a result of the instant access to so many Pilates teachers across the globe, in a way, it feels like I have entered a graduate school program in Pilates, with a seat at the front of the room. This particular day exaggerated that feeling immensely.Read more

Phenomenal Masters Week

During the last week of April, the work and connections with Pilates #2ndGenMaster teachers simply fell into place.  I didn't actually plan it this way, and I only realized it once the week began to unfold in the days leading up to International Pilates Day 2020. This is the third time I have uttered these words, "the only benefit of the #Covid19 lockdown is the opportunity to be led by masterful teachers... virtually."Read more

Virtual Sessions Changed Everything

Four weeks into the lockdown and every teacher I know is using some sort of virtual training session that has completely altered our way of life, teaching and connection.  While the jury is still out on whether we keep it up for regular client sessions, I think it is clear to the lion share of us, that this medium of connection offers a whole other world of "touch" that will not be eliminated easily.  I am planning to maintaining my Zoom subscription when the lockdown is over!

As always when an alternate reality is presented, it takes a few days for things to settle in your mind and in this case with Deborah Lessen, I needed a few days for both my mind and body to settle from the work.Read more
